Vicky Martin Appointed Executive Director of SCCS
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Vicky Martin as the new Executive Director of South County Community Services (SCCS), effective April 15, 2026.
Vicky brings 23 years of dedicated service to SCCS, with extensive experience across the organization’s programs and a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families experiencing poverty and housing instability. Her long-standing relationships within the community and strong operational leadership make her exceptionally well-positioned to guide SCCS into its next chapter.
SCCS continues to provide a comprehensive range of services, including homelessness prevention, emergency shelter programs, permanent supportive housing and case management, safe parking, and food distribution programs that address both immediate and long-term needs.
Each year, SCCS serves approximately 18,000 individuals across all programs and distributes more than 6 million pounds of food to individuals and families throughout our community. These outcomes reflect the strength of our partnerships and the shared commitment to meeting critical needs with dignity and impact.
Former Executive Director David Cox, who recently retired after 25 years of dedicated leadership, shared the following message:
“I am thrilled to hear that Vicky Martin has accepted the position of Executive Director. Her vast experience and connections with our service partners, clients and supporters is second-to-none, and I look forward to supporting her in every way possible. No one has given more, worked harder and created more impact than Vicky. South County Community Services will continue to thrive and help stabilize the lives of thousands of individuals impacted by poverty and homelessness.”
The Board has full confidence in Vicky’s leadership and is excited for continued collaboration with our partners and funders as we advance SCCS’s mission.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.
