Ochoa Winter Family Shelter

The Ochoa Winter Family Shelter provides temporary shelter for families experiencing homelessness who have at least one minor child in their household.

Operating annually from approximately mid-December through mid-March, the shelter offers families a safe, warm, and welcoming place to stay during the coldest and wettest months of the year.

The program is designed to serve up to 35 families each winter. During their stay, families receive shelter and supportive services while working toward greater stability. By providing relief from the elements and reducing immediate living expenses, the program gives families an opportunity to conserve their limited resources and focus on securing a permanent housing solution.
