Unhoused Services Program
Meeting People Where They Are—with Compassion and Care
In South County, more individuals and families are experiencing homelessness than ever before. At South County Community Services, we believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and safe—no matter their housing status.
Our Unhoused Services Program provides direct outreach, essential supplies, and individualized case management to people living outdoors, in vehicles, or without stable shelter. We connect individuals to the resources they need now—while working with them to build long-term paths toward housing and health.
Human Dignity Starts with Human Connection
We don’t just serve—we build trust. Our trained outreach team engages with people on the streets, in parks, and encampments across South County. Through this connection-first model, we’re able to:
Provide immediate essentials like food, hygiene kits, blankets, and tents
Offer compassionate support and a nonjudgmental presence
Connect individuals to case management, shelter referrals, and benefits navigation
Work toward permanent housing solutions with dignity and respect
In the past year, we’ve made over 1,400 meaningful contacts with our unhoused neighbors—and helped dozens transition into stable housing.
Local Solutions to a Regional Challenge
Homelessness is a complex issue, but our community has the heart and the will to respond. Our approach is grounded in collaboration—with cities, service providers, law enforcement, and most importantly, with the individuals we serve.
Every step forward starts with a relationship.
