  • DRIVE-THROUGH/WALK-UP GROCERY DISTRIBUTION

    REGISTRATION

    Registering for groceries is quick and simple. We are committed to removing barriers so our community can access the food they need. Our staff and volunteers can register you on the spot—no paperwork or documentation is required. The process is fully self-certified.

    To ensure equitable access, individuals are welcome to receive one grocery allotment per week.

  • We don’t just serve—we build trust. Our trained outreach team engages with people on the streets, in parks, and in encampments across South County. Through intensive community outreach, we bring services directly to clients where they are—supporting unhoused neighbors, helping individuals get to medical appointments, and providing consistent case management.

    Through this connection-first model, we’re able to:

    • Provide immediate essentials like food, hygiene kits, blankets, and tents

    • Offer compassionate support and a nonjudgmental presence

    • Connect individuals to case management, shelter referrals, and benefits navigation

    • Work toward permanent housing solutions with dignity and respect

    UNHOUSED POPUP MARKETPLACE

    Our weekly “Unhoused Pop Up” provide one-stop access to a variety of services that improve the quality of life for our unsheltered clientele in South Santa Clara County (San Martin, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy).

    South County Community Services partners with The Salvation Army Gilroy (200 5th St, Gilroy) to provide shower services twice a week on Monday and Wednesday mornings (except Holidays).

  • Our Homelessness Prevention Program offers emergency financial assistance, case management, and wraparound support for individuals and families on the verge of losing their homes.

    South County Community Services works in partnership with Sacred Heart Community Service, Santa Clara County's Office of Supportive Housing, Destination: Home, the City of San José, and 19 community organization partners to provide assistance to low-income families or individuals at risk of losing their housing through the Santa Clara County Homelessness Prevention System (HPS) program. All Santa Clara County residents who are low-income (based on federal guidelines) and currently housed but at risk of becoming homeless are welcome to apply for HPS assistance, which includes: temporary financial assistance, legal support, case management, and other services.
